About
A works is where things get made and kept running.
We took the name seriously. TRUST TechWorks exists to build small, well-made systems that actually work — and to leave room to grow them.
Why we changed
We started in 2018 as TRUST Technical Consultants, doing identity, endpoint management and digital presence work for businesses around Louisville. Good work, and we still do most of it. But over seven years the same pattern kept showing up on every site we walked into.
Everyone was building the same way: buy the platform, buy the tier above the one you're on, add the feature you might need someday. The result was always the same — a stack nobody fully understood, doing a fraction of what any one piece of it could do well on its own.
We started building the other way instead. A camera system that actually shows up on the screen you already look at. One room of smart control, wired properly, rather than a whole house half configured. A venue's music, video and screens run from one system instead of three that don't talk to each other.
So we changed what we lead with. Small, well-built, and finished — then engineered so the next piece snaps on later, when you're ready for it. Less, chosen well, beats more, chosen fast.
How we're different in practice
We land small and design for what's next. The first version of any system is the smallest one that actually works — one room of Home Assistant before the whole house, a venue's AV that just runs — engineered so the next piece snaps on later instead of forcing a rebuild.
We read your invoices. Licence tiers drift upward, renewals auto-bill at rates nobody agreed to, and vendors add lines quietly. Catching that is part of the service, not an extra.
We document for your staff, not for us. If the only person who understands the system is the person who installed it, we have built you a dependency rather than a solution.
We work across the whole site. Cameras, doors, network, phones, endpoints, the platforms the business runs on. The faults that matter most tend to live in the seams between those, and a specialist in any one of them will not find them.
The team
Small, senior, and on site.
You get the people who did the assessment doing the installation, and the same people answering when you call two years later. No tiered handoffs, no account manager between you and the person holding the screwdriver.
